Every 7 seconds, a child is a victim of bulling and every day, a child dies from it. That's 22,000 kids in a year that dies and every year, and 3.5 million kids are being bullied, even as we speak a kid is causing harm to another and a teacher is doing nothing but watching and that makes me mad!! 30 percent of kids are bullies or are victims of bulling and 160,000 students are staying home because of the fear of bulling
I was bullied for about 9 years because of my actions and my appearance. I've been called a freak, insane, crazy and dumb. I've been on the edge of suicide because of those hurtful words. Those words leave scars not only on the skin, but in the heart and in the mind.
It will affect a child's behavior later in life and adults will consider this as "being part of a kid." I'm sorry to say that this is untrue. I started school when I was at least 5, maybe 6 and I've been bullied from 1st grade to now. It's not fun and it hurts a lot more then what you people think.
Teachers and parents are both unaware of their children's safety at school when no body tells them what is happening and they don't realize that all of these sudden deaths on the news from people who are young are linked with suicide.
There are signs if someone is being bullied; depression, lost interest in favorite activities, having trouble eating or sleeping, having an interest in death, doing dangerous or harmful actives, the list goes on!
In some cases, it's not obvious that a teen is thinking about suicide but instead, bullies have told them that they should kill themselves and that life would be better off without them. I have thought this a few times in the past and I know that it's not true, life gets worse without them.

This problem needs to be dealt with NOW!!! Teachers, students, stop sitting on your lazy bums and thinking that this problem will solve itself! It's not going to solve anything if your just watching it happen! Open your eyes and look at today and not then! This is the time where we stand up for those kids that are scared and don't know what to do!
